A Murdery Mystery Dinner! - Special Event

February 8

Get ready for an unforgettable evening on the hit soap opera “Nights of Their Deaths”.  This comedic murder mystery invites you to unravel a delightful ‘who-dun-it’ whily enjoying a night filled with drama, drama, and MORE drama!  As part of a live studio audience, guests will meet a cast of quirky and eccentric characters with hidden motives and dark secrets - and solve a murder.

Sense & Sensibility - Play Production

A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?

The WakeFIELD Party - Special Event

May 31

We’re making some music on Main Street!  The Little Red Hen Theatre is proud to partner with Wakefield Progressive on their music festival, The WakeFIELD Party.  This special event will take place on main street right outside the theatre - featuring original and regional artists.  Funds raised at this event will go to support artistic programming at The Little Red Hen!

DRAMA CAMP 

June 9 - 14

It’s time to be a WILD THING at DRAMA CAMP! This year’s DRAMA CAMP will bring some of your favorite childhood books to life through performance.  Students in grades K - 8 will work to create original performances of classics like Where The Wild Things Are, The Rainbow Fish, The Hungry Caterpillar and others in this camp designed to inspire creativity and confidence.

‍Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi award-winning show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is coming back to the Little Red Hen after 30 years!  Joseph has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End and on Broadway, international tours in over 80 countries worldwide and has become one of the world’s most beloved family musicals.

This show is a rollicking and rambunctious retelling of some of Aesop’s most popular fables, including “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” “Androcles and the Lion,” “The Tortoise and the Hare,” and more!  Presented by an enthusiastic and

well-intentioned but frantic, funny, and frazzled trio of “Fableers” (that’s fay-bell-EARS), Aesop’s Greatest Hits! is a fast-paced romp!

DUELING PIANOS- Special Event

October 30

Dueling Pianos are coming back!  Sing, dance, play and party the night away at our Dueling Pianos show, performed by Fun Pianos.  Come in your best costume and party with us as we turn the Wakefield Civic Center into a piano bar for one night only!  Funds raised from this event will go to support artistic programming at The Little Red Hen!

A Christmas Story - Play Production

December 4, 5 & 6

You’ll shoot your eye out! Set in 1940s Indiana, a young and bespectacled Ralphie Parker schemes his way toward the holiday gift of his dreams, an official Red Ryder toy BB gun. An infamous leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a maniacal department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the distractions that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish.
